About Me

I help highly motivated individuals with their health and wellness goals to achieve targeted levels of success, mental resilience, and optimal body composition. I believe each individual has the ability to evolve and thrive, and my mission is to help make this transformation possible for those who are determined.

Roki Familia is a NASM certified Personal Trainer. He holds certifications from the following highly accredited organizations: National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Stick Mobility Lv1, Precision Nutrition LV1, and PRONATAL Pre/Postnatal LV1. He also completed his undergraduate degree with a Bachelors in Psychology.

Upon realizing the fulfillment and enjoyment received from helping others achieve their fitness goals, he began his career at Equinox Brooklyn Heights in early 2018. Roki quickly advanced from a Tier 1 trainer into a full-time Tier 3PLUS by 2019. During his career, Roki has worked with an extensive and diverse set of clientele, including expecting mothers, college athletes, beginner adolescents, active gym-goers, and individuals over 65.

 

Roki also has an inherent passion for sports and fitness, most notably basketball and functional weight-lifting. He was a 2017 CUNY Regular Season Champion and CUNY Conference Champion with the LaGuardia Community College Red Hawks, and was later named one of Equinox’s Top 100 Producing Trainers in 2019.

 

I came to Roki wanting to strengthen my legs and core for ski season, and he did that and more. He created the perfect routines for me, with a great weight training to cardio ratio program. My body composition very quickly improved and my skiing ability was light years ahead of what it was, especially on more strenuous terrain, uphill and in the backcountry
